If you have ever started the process of opening your own business, then I’m sure you can say it’s quite an endeavor. I even bet you probably wished there was someone there to help guide you along…there is! The SC Small Business Development Center offers free advice and assistance with every aspect of owning a business. From developing your idea and creating your business plan to financing your dream and marketing your product, the SC SBDC is there to help guide you in the right direction.
There are several options for you to access their resources. You can work independently with your local representative, sign up for a workshop or attend free workshops at Headquarters Library.
SCPL, in partnership with SC SBDC and Piedmont SCORE, hosts a series of FREE small business workshops at Headquarters Library. The Small Business Roundtable meets several times throughout the year. This month’s workshops are included in our Money Smart Week Campaign. Join us on Tuesday, April 23 from 9:15-11:15 am for Financing Your Small Business and Thursday, April 25 from 9:15-11:15 am for Business Planning. Bring your questions and experience for an informative discussion on these topics!
The SC SBDC is also hosting a 2013 Small Business Series for Greer. You may have missed the March workshop, but there’s still time to attend Retail Small Business Growth Strategies, May 21 and Financing Your Small Business, August 20. Both workshops will be held at the Greer Development Corporation, 111-B South Main Street, Greer, SC 29650 from 6:30-8:00 pm. The workshops are free.
