Your credit matters.
- Did you know that your credit report could affect your mortgage rates, credit card approvals, apartment requests, or even your job application?
- And reviewing credit reports helps you catch signs of identity theft early.
Ensure that the information on all of your credit reports is correct and up to date. Even though you see numerous ones advertised as “free”, the only source for free credit reports as authorized by Federal Law is http://www.annualcreditreport.com. You can get a free copy of your credit report every 12 months from each credit reporting company (Experian, Equifax, and Transunion).
Happy getting more money in your paycheck due to recent tax cuts? The IRS encourages everyone to use the Withholding Calculator to perform a quick “paycheck checkup.” This is even more important this year because of recent changes to the tax law for 2018.
The Calculator helps you identify your tax withholding to make sure you have the right amount of tax withheld from your paycheck at work. Some people will end up paying more given the tax law changes, and you don’t want to be surprised at the end of the year!
